This policy explains how Neptune’s Submerge Ltd handles information connected with Ocean Quest VR.
Neptune’s Submerge Ltd is the developer and publisher of Ocean Quest VR. We are a company registered in England and Wales (company no. 14215546).
Ocean Quest VR is designed to avoid collecting directly identifying information from learners. Where enabled, limited technical and usage information may be processed to maintain and improve the experience. This can include device type, operating-system version, performance metrics, crash reports and aggregated interaction data.
Technical and aggregated information may be used to improve performance, accessibility, compatibility and learning-experience design; investigate faults; and understand how activities are used. It is not sold or used for behavioural advertising.
Ocean Quest is used in supervised learning environments. We apply data-minimisation principles and do not intentionally collect names, email addresses or other directly identifying information from children through the VR experience. Schools and delivery partners remain responsible for their own lawful handling of learner information.
Authorised technology providers, including platform, hosting, crash-reporting or analytics services, may process limited technical information solely to provide and improve the service. Their handling of information is governed by their agreements and applicable data-protection requirements.
We use proportionate technical and organisational safeguards. Technical information is retained only for as long as reasonably required for product operation, support, evaluation or legal obligations.
Depending on the circumstances, UK data-protection law may give you rights to access, correct, erase or restrict the processing of personal information, and to object or complain to the Information Commissioner’s Office.
